What is the first thing you do after you pick up a new first-person shooter game such as Overwatch? You should get your sensitivity down first. In fact, sensitivity is one of the most important settings when it comes to first-person shooters.

You can buy all the fancy mousepads or gaming gear you want, but without the right sensitivity, you’re not going to get what truly feels natural to you. Of course, you also have to consider your mouse DPI and other settings that could affect your aim.

Why Use The Perfect Sensitivity Calculator?

You need to find your perfect sensitivity when starting any new game. You don’t want to get too comfortable with the wrong sensitivity that affects your performance. This could seriously put a damper in adjusting to try to unlearn muscle memory.

The calculator essentially takes your base sensitivity and multiplies it by .5 to find your low sensitivity. Then it multiplies it by 1.5 to find your high sensitivity. Your average sensitivity is the base sensitivity itself.

How To Use The Perfect Sensitivity Calculator?

In order to get the sensitivity values output, you only need to input a single value of base sensitivity. This base sensitivity is the sensitivity value it takes you to move your mouse across the entirety of your mousepad until you complete a single 360-degree movement.

First, you have to input your base sensitivity. After that, you need to follow step one’s instructions of choosing “high” or “low” for “which one feels better?”

You will see the output for sensitivity values change on the right side. For every step, you’ll see a low, average, and high number for each step that you take. It’s recommended to do at least six steps to find your perfect sensitivity. This calculator really doesn’t leave a lot of room for error.

At first find the sensitivity that completes a 360 moving your mouse across your mousepad from one end to the other and put it into the "Base sensitivity" field. On each step you have to choose sensitivity which you like more: low or high, from the table. You can make as many steps as you want to find you perfect sensitivity (at least 6 steps recommended).
